The Cavachon is a breed of dog that originated in the United States. A crossbreed of Bichon Frise and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, they are small dogs with an average weight of 11-15 lbs (5-7 kg) and height from 10 inches to 13 inches (25 – 33 cm). They have a life span of about 12-14 years. Like both parents, the Cavachon is intelligent and lively. The Cavachons were bred to be companion dogs, and their appearance reflects this: they tend to look like puppies for their entire lives. Colors include white, cream, apricot red, or chestnut brown; behavior is also influenced by coat color.
